We are looking for a trades assistant / labourer / apprentice with prior experience in a structural steel fabrication environment - this position will be ongoing with an opportunity to become an apprentice boilermaker. This role requires:

General labor duties
Grinding / cutting steel (training provided)
Sorting materials in preparation for welding of steel
Painting
Assisting tradesmen in jobs
Familiarity with workshop tools (required)
Experience working in steel fabrication / structural steel
Looking to enroll or currently enrolled in TAFE Certificate III or IV in Engineering (highly advantageous)
Use of forklift (previous experience highly advantageous)
General construction duties if on site (White card advantageous)
Applicant must have valid working rights in Australia.

Salary range: $ 20 - $ 24 / hour - part time or casual
