Kuro-Sakura is a new Japanese BBQ restaurant associated with a Japanese yakiniku master based in Osaka Japan and other 34 restaurants spreading in different prefectures of Japan. Located in the brand new Chatswood Place Shopping Centre, we are just 8 minutes by walking from Chatswood train station and diagonally opposite to the famous Chatswood Chase Shopping Centre. We aim to provide authentic wagyu Japanese BBQ and excellent services to customers. But working as an efficient and energetic team, we understand the importance of valuing our people so we try to create a friendly and approachable working culture to all of our staff.
Now we are recruiting the following positions:
kitchen chef/cook
About you:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Japanese restaurant
Experience in a yakiniku restaurant is preferred but not essential
Possess sound beef knowledge, including how to preserve beef in the commercial environment and meat cutting skills are essential
Proficient English communication abilities
Be able to prepare, process and present food based on the menu
Has the ability to develop the menu
Be able to work on a full-time basis (5 days a week)
Be able to work on both days of the weekend
Excellent kitchen management skills, including assist with stocktaking and ordering
Have leadership skills in overseeing kitchen staff and the ability to train other kitchen staff
Food quality control with high standard
Have good personal grooming and A team player that is professional and polite
HACCP and OH&S knowledge are essential
Has legal working rights in Australia
Japanese speaking is essential
