An opportunity is now available for dedicated CRICOS Enrolment/Student Support officer to join their friendly and highly motivated and growing team in Gold Coast.
Objectives of the Position:
This is a permanent role, which requires energy and enthusiasm for performing a multitude of administration tasks to support quality education, training and other services in our domestic and International colleges. Using your initiative to efficiently manage your time frames is crucial in this role. A person who enjoys a variety of duties will find this a challenging, busy role. Training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessing students enrolment applications and to act as professional and effective first point of contact via telephone and email for all enquires relating to student admissions
Administering the processing of enrolments & applications for enrolments, preparing letters of offer and having these signed by the International Department head, dispatching the COEs to students.
Coordinating accommodation arrangements for students before they arrive
Assisting the process of paying course fees
Assisting in assessing requests to transfer to another education provider according to National Code 2007 Standard 7, and creating the Letter of Release
Upkeep of student information on in-house database which includes detailed information for students: student current contact details and address; student overseas health cover, current 24 hour contact details for each student. Contacting students every 6 months to update all students database
Assisting with student enquiries and general enquiries
Assisting with visa and health cover applications
Organising, informing students and Participating in the orientation program
Responsible for the preparation of student administration files
Establish constructive relationships and communicate with outside agencies and/or professionals to support achievement and progress of students
Liaise with trainers and other staff to gather information regarding pre-identified support requirements
Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs
Supervise and provide support for students, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety
Competencies (qualifications, skills and experience)
Understand the VET Framework Standards/ESOS Framework that apply specifically to this role and a commitment to adhere to the requirements and keep up to date with the requirement
Have minimum 1 year working experience as Student Support Officer/International Student within an RTO
Demonstrated experience in an administrative capacity in a small/medium office environment
Ability to prioritise and be pro active
Proficiency in MS Office suite to create Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable requirements:
Direct knowledge or experience of the international education sector
Second language
The successful candidates' employment is subject to the provision of successful Working with Children and police checks. Candidates must also have a current driver's licence.
